The hide is 5 km away from the farm-house by car. After reaching the reedbed by car, there is a 400 meter walk (with a 250 meter hike through the reeds). The water level in the reeds can be up to 40 cm, therefore we provide high-wellington boots for our guests. On the last 50 meters it is important to be very quiet not to scare the resting birds away. The hide inside is clean, it has thick mattresses for laying down. Many shelves are available for putting the equipment away when not in use. The hide is made of two separate parts, the base is movable according to the level of the water, in this way the birds can be photographed from the lowest level to the water. The most practical way to photograph is from hand or on beanbag, as the tripod restricts the mobility.In front of the hide there is an island with a 30 m2 water surface. In order to attract more birds we often put fish in the pond.For clothing, we strongly advise to dress all in black (including socks)as the birds can easily notice any glosses. The sun rises in front(on the right)and sets behind the hide (on the left side). The hide is supplied with can-food and suitable for overnight sleeping.

Athough the hide is 2 km away from the farm, because of the lakes in between, we can only approach it with a 15 km drive and 1,5 km walk. The last 60 meters lead through a tunnel made out of reed, which hides us from the birds. This particular hide is suitable for taking flight shots. Both from sitting and standing position, the movements can be followed by the camera. For moving around, we recommend to use stabilization and autofocus and photograph from hand. 70 meters from the hide there is an island where 120 pairs of Mediterranean Gull and 800 pairs of Black-headed Gull are nesting every year. Most of the 120 hectar lake is reedy, which gives home to 800 pairs of herons and egrets.
